Warhawk

Hi there,

I notice that you wrote the Warhawk (Firebird game) article (moved from its original title).

Do you have any evidence that the PS/PS3 Warhawk games are meant as remakes of the 1986 Firebird game, rather than just coincidentally choosing the same name? Please contribute at Talk:Warhawk (Firebird game). Thanks! Fourohfour 16:56, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Policy Concerns

Hi. You seem to have reverted my edit in the List of Guardians in a Series of Unfortunate Events[1], while stating in your edit summary that I was violating a certain policy. Whereas I believe I was acting in accordance with the Manual of Style, could you indicate which specific policy I was violating?--Orthologist 15:38, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I know of what you are referring to; I am using Twinkle, which is a program that gives you rollback/vandalism options. Anyway, I had the option of clicking 'Rollback (AGF)' 'Rollback' or 'Rollback (Vandalism). I clicked Rollback (AGF) instead of just 'Rollback'. I'm really sorry for the mixup.

Good point. It read so much like an ad I didn't notice that it didn't exist anymore.  :-) Coren 02:25, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Australian literature is new ACOTF

Hi. You voted to support Australian literature as the new Australian collaboration. Please help to improve it in any way you can. Thanks. Scott Davis Talk 14:21, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Are you aware of WP:3RR and the problem of leaving edit summaries and other messages in CAPITALS? - if you are your reverting admins edit work might leave you some room to consider the above, as we try to work by consensus and working through issues in the Australian project.

It would be appreciated that if you feel strongly about a method of placing tags in particular locations, and it bothers you - go the editor who did it and ask/communicate/talk - sometimes you will find tag placing is not fixed by any particular hard rule or policy - and that some of us have places to put things that others are not so sure of.

Trust you understand the need to be more tolerant of others mistakes and different ways of doing things. SatuSuro 05:29, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Re: Unsourced images procedure?

What's the template to use if a picture doesn't say where it came from/has no tags? Mrmoocow 23:26, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Untagged images has information on this. Do you mean {{no license}} or {{no source}}? Perhaps both? The policy page has advice on how to use both tags. You should also warn the uploaders of such images with {{ subst:image copyright|Image:image_name }} tags on their Talk pages. Image-related user Talk page warnings can be found at User Talk namespace template messages. Regards, (aeropagitica) 23:40, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

How do I delete this? Mrmoocow 07:08, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

In this case, you wait until I notice your comment on the talk page and delete it for you. In future, if you want an image deleted that you created yourself and isn't used on any pages, add {{db-g7}} to the image page, and an administrator will remove it within a couple of hours. Instalment or installment?

Actually, both are correct, but the latter is preferred. Instalment: 4 million Google hits. Installment: 25.4 million. And all other forms of install use 2 ls: installed, installation, installing, etc. Best--ShelfSkewed Talk 12:46, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Job Well Done!

A Series of Unfortunate Events looks great. I love the new infobox. I can't believe the page never had one before. Also, its good that the pesky "Themes" section has been dealt with. The page might have shot at being featured after all. User:Clamster5 02:27, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Why have you removed it from all the ASUE books? You certainly must agree that they are written by Lemony Snicket. ***Clamster 00:36, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

Hey Clamster :). I did it because both templates feature all the ASOUE books on them, making it reduntant. Both of the templates look ugly together. I think that the ASUE template should be on all the ASOUE books and related characters and things, while the LS template should be on Lemony Snicket's and all the non-ASOUE work under his name. I just find it not a good idea to have both templates; what do you think? Mrmoocow 00:39, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

I think because A Series of Unfortunates are the works of Lemony Snicket, all their pages (or at least the main ASUE page) should have the template. ***Clamster 00:46, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
I understand that, but it's extremely redundant to have both templates since they both have all the books in ASUE listed. It makes the page look really ugly. Mrmoocow 00:47, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
I agree with your idea on Template talk: LS that the template should be converted into a Daniel Handler template. I'll change it now, and put it on the main ASUE page, but not the individual books. Sounds like a good compromise to me. ***Clamster 01:03, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
I can't get the template to look quite right. Could you lend me a hand? ***Clamster 01:11, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
I'll see what I can do, but I'm not very good with that sort of thing. Mrmoocow 01:36, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
I'll be happy to have that along with the ASUE template on the main ASUE page (but I think that should be the only page that has both) so long as it doesn't look like total crap after what I've done with it. Mrmoocow 01:43, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

Adminship

I've worked closely with you in WP:ASUE (now WP:LEM) and I was wondering if you would nominate me for adminship. I would nominate myself but I feel like the request would have more support if someone else besides myself thinks I am ready for/a good candidate for adminship. Please don't feel pressured to nominate me if you aren't comfortable nominating me. ***Clamster 22:46, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

Thank you! ***Clamster 04:42, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Cyanide and Happiness text removed

I'm not sure if you simply did not read my edit summaries but my first edit was to remove a sentence that consisted of pure original research about what the comic is about. My second edit was to remove the current events tag and to clean up some of the wording (using people's last names instead of their first). I'm not going to get into some revert war, so I'm going to leave it alone but I feel it would be better if you read the edit summaries and comment instead of simply reverting edits for someone who's been here quite a while. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 08:00, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

How long you've been here is of no matter to me; stop trying to be elitist by using how long you've been here as an excuse. Why did you remove the current events tag? Mrmoocow 08:25, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Given that the article said that the website was now back up, I didn't consider it a current event any longer. I thought simply saying that there were some outages would be fine. Frankly, I don't think whether or not a website is currently up falls under the proper current event template usage. I am not trying to be elitist. I just don't consider it good policy to template regular users, especially over a editing dispute like this is. -- Ricky81682 (talk)
